Jo Evans - Carshalton Dance
Joanne Evans (Principal)

Jo started dancing in Liverpool at the age of 3 and moved to the Royal Ballet School in White Lodge at the age of 11 and has never looked back. She furthered her training at Central School of Ballet and London Studio Centre and went on to perform with London City Ballet Company. Joanne then moved to the world of Musical Theatre, appearing in West End shows such as West Side Story, King and I, and Cats as well as appearing on TV and commercials. Joanne has been teaching for over 27 years, and is now appointed Deputy Lead Children's Examiner with the prestigious I.S.T.D. She is a pro-active teacher of equality with dance for all as her main ethos. 

Naomi Carshalton Dance
Naomi Meehan

Miss Naomi has been involved in the Performing Arts for over 30 years, as a dancer, actress, choreographer and director. She is qualified in many disciplines; Tap, National, Modern & Imperial Ballet up to and including Licentiate Level, and is currently working towards her I.S.T.D Fellowship and her Master's Degree in Dance Pedagogy. Through years of study Miss Naomi discovered her love of teaching and worked on developing teaching techniques to help every type of learner benefit from dance training.  As a registered Tutor Miss Naomi is also qualified to deliver all units of the Diploma in Dance Education, and is passionate about instilling her values of integrity, respect, individuality and passion for excellent teaching standards in the next generation of Teachers.  

Miss Rosie - street and contemporary
Rosie Whitmore

Miss Rosie trained at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, and went on to perform professionally with Pacific Cruises as Dance Captain. She has also performed for the BBC and various pantomimes in London and around the UK. She has been teaching Ballet, Contemporary and Commercial Street for 6 years, and is a qualified Acrobatic Arts teacher as well. Rosie's choreography is extremely on trend for the styles and work required for today's modern dancer. 

Miss Zoe Carshalton Dance
Zoe Case-Green

After training at the Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance, Miss Zoe furthered her training at Ballet West in Scotland. She has performed with the MSC and Ponant Cruise liners for over 10 years, and is now dedicating her time to teaching children  and passing on her extensive balletic knowledge, having achieved Advanced Levels with the I.S.T.D. and R.A.D. 

Jessica Hay
Miss Jess - modern & Tap

Jessie started dancing at a very young age and after taking her graded ISTD and RAD examinations went on to train at Italia Conti. She continued her studies to gain a BA in Professional Practice in Performing Arts and is a fully qualified, experienced dance teacher having entered students for exams and produced shows.

laura mccullock - ballet
Laura McCulloch (Ballet Associate Prorgamme)

Laura McCulloch was formerly a Soloist of The Royal Ballet. Laura performed many of the Royal Ballet's leading roles at the Royal Opera House in Mayerling, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Enigma Variations and the Nutcracker. Laura became an Assistant Ballet Mistress of The Royal Ballet 2014–15. Whilst still performing she has taken many workshops based on repertoire, in schools across London. She has continued her work in Learning and Participation at ROH creating and leading Ballet Dots, classes for 0-5 year olds. She has worked with Magpie Dance leading and creating a piece based on MacMillan's Gloria and performed it with them at The Royal Opera House. She has also been Ballet Mistress for London Children's Ballet and teaches at The Urdang Academy.

We are extremely privileged to have Miss Laura teaching at Carshalton Dance Centre, offering another dimension of professionalism to the already high calibre of ballet training at the school.

Gareth - Carshalton Dance admin
Gareth Jones

Gareth does all our admin, backing tracks, editing, videos and photos and anything else. He is also a fully qualified musician with many years playing in the field as well as a Head of Music in various academic schools with 20 years experience.
